Our Story
The Claude Marsal® journey began in 2005 when founder Claude Marsal left his successful career in finance to pursue his dream of creating perfumes. Claude had always been fascinated by the art and science of perfumery and was determined to establish his own distinctive fragrance house.
After years of training with master perfumers and learning the complex art of scent composition, Claude opened his flagship boutique in Paris. Here, he began to sell his first collection of bespoke, hand-blended perfumes made with rare essential oils and absolutes.
Word quickly spread amongst perfume aficionados about the quality and originality of Claude’s creations. His perfumes were soon being sold at exclusive retailers worldwide.
In 2010, Claude expanded his offerings to include a line of premium ready-to-wear fragrances inspired by music, art, and emotion. It was also at this time that the house launched its iconic women’s scent – La Melodie – which remains one of Claude Marsal’s most beloved fragrances.
Today, Claude Marsal® continues to create coveted fragrances from its atelier in France. While trends come and go, our commitment to excellence and passion for the art of perfumery endures.
Our Perfumery
All Claude Marsal® perfumes are proudly made in France at our perfumery located just outside of Grasse. Known as the perfume capital of the world, Grasse is situated in the French Riviera and has been a center of perfume production for centuries.
At our perfumery, perfume creation is approached as an art form. Our classically trained Master Perfumers blend each formula by hand using only the most luxurious ingredients. Natural essences like roses from Bulgaria, jasmine from Egypt, and sandalwood from Sri Lanka are sourced from around the globe.
We take time to find the most exceptional quality ingredients to perfectly capture the essence of each fragrance. The perfumers carefully compose each formula, bringing their artistic vision to life scent by scent. It takes great skill to perfectly balance the natural essences and aroma chemicals to craft the sublime finishes our House is known for.
